Goals of the
Volunteer Resource Center...
Below is a list of
just a few of the goals of the
Volunteer Resource Center.
We would love to hear
your ideas about
other goals!
Send us an email!
- Assess the current volunteer
situation in our community.
How many volunteers are currently
serving?
How many hours are given in
service each month? year?
How many organizations use
volunteer service?
How many volunteer hours are
still needed by these organizations?
- Establish a database of
volunteer-served programs.
What services do these
organizations provide?
In what capacity can volunteers
serve?
What is expected of the volunteer
(time, schedule, etc)?
- Host an annual Volunteer Round-Up.
Create a public event that would
show the need for volunteers.
Give people a chance to sign up
to serve.
Provide organizations with an
opportunity to reach the community.

emergency responses.
Establish a plan for
volunteer recruitment and referral before necessary.

with established organizations to appropriately use volunteers.

recruitment and referral.
